Mr. Sosthenes Kwadzo Kufogbe

Mr. Sosthenes Kwadzo kufogbe He is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in (the Department of Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana (Legon). He holds Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and M.Phil degrees in Geography from the University of Ghana, Legon in I960 and 1990. He was immediate Head of the Department (2009-2000) and Deputy coordinator of the Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory. As an all round geographer he has wide ranging experience in teaching and research in the academic programmes at the University of Ghana (Main and City Campuses), and the Environ­mental Science Programme. He has authored a number of Course Modules for the Distance Education Programme of the Institute of Continuing and Distance Education of the University.
Mr. Kufogbe doubles as Development Consultant with various national and international assignments including the Envi­ronmental Protection Agency, Peace Corps Ghana, Teaching and Learning Innovation Fund of the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) and the World Bank, the Accra Working Group on Peri-Urban Agriculture (AWGUPA) www.iwmi.cgiar.org: the West African Research Network (WARN) which is affiliated to the Global Observation of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics (GOFC-GOLD), Canadian Forest Service, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (www.fao.org). and Gulf of Guinea Large Marine Ecosystem projects of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (GCLME/UNIDO), http://gclme.org. He participated in the Regional and International Expert Group Meetings on the Establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement's Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM-CSSTQ Networking System with NAM) Member countries wwwcsstc.org
In his capacity as National Secretary of the Ghana Geographical Association (GO A) from 2004 to 2007 he became key organ­izer of the Zonal Regional and National ore-events which ultimately led to Ghana's participation in the Biennial World Geog­raphy Bee and other related activities in Budapest, Hungary, Malaysia, and the USA. Mr. Kufogbe has a great passion for Innovative Thinking and Change Management, and Music for his hobby. He has a wide variety of publications including technical reports to his credit.
